www.weddingsinmaidstone.com                                         www.weddingsinmedway.com Back in the year 2000/2001 just after the .com bubble burst I created my first ever website, more a web portal than site. We had just set my wife up into a small very much part time business and I knew it would be beneficial to her business to have a website. I could have just spent the time creating a site for her, but in my usual outside box thinking process I chose to do more than create a website. I wanted to create a complete service to the Wedding Industry and at the same time create a site or portal which would be self funding. What I mean is a portal that makes money. It’s first requirement was to generate sufficient funds to cover the hosting and domain registration costs. If it was then able to generate more income then so much the better, this would mean it was also providing me with an income for the work required to create and maintain it. Although I have never driven this portal system as hard as I could do, it has continued to perform every year since it was created some 10 years ago. It uses two main methods to generate income, the first is by hosting a series of web pages for other businesses at an annual cost. The second method has been achieved because the site features very well in Google. It has always attracted many hundreds of visitors every month which means for anyone who features on each page they gain good exposure. With this in mind I decided to source sponsors for each site, each sponsor would pay an annual amount in return for a high pofile position on every page of the site. This system has worked very well and means the portals are infact self funding. Ten years on I and my team have just launched www.Weddingsin-Town.com as a business opportunity for those people in my MasterMindUK groups as an additional income generator while they build their main Internet businesses. You can find out much more about this venture by going to http://weddingsin-town.com. You too can benefit from the Wedding Industry by being an agent in this venture, phase two of this program will begin in the 2nd quarter of 2012.
